Our family-owned and family-operated dealership is based in Concord, North Carolina, and we also serve those in Charlotte and Winston-Salem.
LED Lighting
Campers tend to come with incandescent light bulbs. These are more affordable for the manufacturer, which keeps the RV sticker price lower for the customer. But these light bulbs consume high amounts of power and have short lifespans.
A simple efficiency upgrade to make is swapping out the default light bulbs with LED options. They will consume five times less energy, while lasting longer and burning brighter. You'll spend less money on light bulb replacements over time while reducing power consumption. Make the swap for the brake lights, interior lights, storage lights, porch lights, and more!
Vent Fans
This RV efficiency upgrade helps tackle two problems.
First, vent fans help with excess moisture build up. They can blow away steam, hot air, and other moisture that can contribute to unwanted mold or mildew build up.
Second, vent fans help cool the air. They can help lower the temperature inside your camper and provide a more comfortable experience so you don't need to turn on the air conditioning.
Solar Power Panel System
One popular efficiency upgrade is a solar power panel. While you are out adventuring all day, your camper can be soaking up free energy from sunlight. This will help decrease your use of the generator or hook-up power sources. Solar power panels are not cheap, but they can help you save a significant amount of money in the long term.
Roof Seals
Camper roof leaks can be problematic in many different ways, from letting expensive air conditioned or heated air out to letting unwanted moisture in. Use roofing tape over roof seams to help prevent this. This is more of a preventative upgrade, but that doesn't make it any less important. The roofing tape helps add a valuable barrier against weather and can help save you money on energy costs.
Before you apply the tape, make sure to give the sealant a quick clean. Then, make sure it's dry. Simply use your fingers to push the tape firmly in place and you are set.
