About Heartland RVs

Highlights of Heartland's History
In 2003, the company was launched in Elkhart, Indiana. The company founders were a group of seasoned veterans of the RV industry who saw many problems with the current models. They aimed to improve the design and construction process in order to deliver better campers to customers. The first Heartland RV was called the Landmark. It offered a reinvented interior floor plan that made optimal use of storage space. It also offered a unique 88-degree turn radius that kept the extended truck cabs from scraping the corners of the RV during a tight turn. This Heartland camper set new standards for the RV industry.
Other Heartland RVs soon followed and saw great success as well, such as the Sundance and the Cyclone. The growth of the company led to the construction of a 110,000 square-foot factory in 2006. This was followed by an 80,000 square-foot additional manufacturing space in 2008. Heartland campers were highly sought after by customers - even during a time when the RV industry began to stagnate.

These models also offer solutions to common concerns and issues. For example, the Heartland RVs that offer cargo bays use rubber floors, which keeps cleaning easy. Some models use a coat closet that offers practical storage solutions while also concealing the rig's control system (rather than it being out in the open and creating an eyesore). These are just a few of the ways that Heartland campers strive to always offer innovative features to improve the traveling experience for families of all shapes and sizes.
