Must-Have Accessories for Your Entegra Class A Motorhome
Investing in an Entegra Class A motorhome can be the peak of luxury on the road. You’ll be able to enjoy each and every trip, each one more than the last, but you don’t want to just buy the camper and hit the road immediately. There are additional accessories you can purchase that will make your camping experience easier and less stressful. Check out some of the essentials we’ve listed below and let us know what you think we should add to our list. Stop by Golden Gait Trailers & RVs and you can even check out our Entegra Class A motorhomes for sale. We’re in Concord, North Carolina, serving Charlotte and Raleigh.
The Essentials
We’ll start with the basics. While all RVs come with many of the things you’ll need for camping, there are some essential items that come separately. For example, you’ll need to get a sewer and drinking hose (two separate hoses, preferably). A drinking hose gives you access to fresh water outside the RV, so you don’t have to play bucket brigade to put out the campfire or whatever else you need the water for. Your black- and greywater tanks need to be emptied periodically, and a good sewer hose is going to help you get the job done efficiently and without any hassle (or mess).
Kitchen Accessories
When you move inside, you’ll probably want to start by improving your kitchen area. There’s a lot that happens here and not a lot of space to get things done. One way to make things easier is to keep a set of stackable dishware and cooking utensils in your RV. This will save space and clear room for more food or other supplies. You can even get collapsible bowls for maximum efficiency.
Of all the cooking supplies you have, we highly recommend making sure a cast-iron skillet is among your go-to items. They’re a little bit more expensive than your average pot or pan, but they’re completely worth it. You can stick them in the oven, on the stove, or even on the fire, and the food will turn out delicious. Not to mention, they’ll last longer than the average pot or pan.
Safety
While Entegra Class A motorhomes are incredibly reliable, you’ll still want to bring a set of tools with you. The occasional loose screw or small repair shouldn’t bring everything to a grinding halt while you go looking for supplies or a professional. Just bring the supplies with you! We also recommend a basic fix-it guide for RVs to help you tackle basic repairs.
All vehicles you have should be equipped with a first-aid kit. Whether you’re just traveling with your motorhome or you also have a commuter vehicle or boat, first-aid kits are among the most basic safety gear that you should bring with you. It should include medications to treat allergies and pain, cuts and scrapes, and minor burns. The supplies should also be refreshed as needed.
Other Items
There are some other miscellaneous items that you might want to have around. A hammock can help you relax outside and even take a nap in the shade on a warm day. A portable propane pit is probably a good idea if you’re going to be in areas that frequently experience fire bans, as it’ll still allow you to enjoy the classic campfire experience.
You can also opt for solar panels on some of the Entegra Class A motorhomes. Not only is this a more eco-friendly source of energy, but it can be particularly helpful if you frequently visit areas that don’t have complete electrical hookups.
Getting an Entegra Class A motorhome is only the first step in creating a better camping experience for you and your family. You’ll need to stock it with lots of important accessories and gear in order to really make the most of each camping trip.
